"This was an interesting piece to work on, and something a little different since I usually don't portray the animals in an aggressive manner. Not that I don't want to, I just notice that I haven't done much of it. I wanted the focus to be on the mouth, nose, and eyes of the tiger, so I had most of the darker details in the central area of her face and let the surrounding elements fade off into the background, giving it a more three dimensional appearance. While enveloped in this drawing, I found myself reflecting on the account from the early 1900's of an infamous man-eating tigress of the Champawat region in Northern India. A truly chilling story."
